Editorial policy
How articles are researched, sourced, reviewed and corrected.
Sourcing
Health claims are sourced to peer-reviewed studies, guidelines from bodies such as the CDC, NIH, FDA, AAD and WHO, or named clinicians. We prefer trials over mechanisms and mechanisms over anecdotes, and we say which one we are standing on. Where evidence is thin, the article says so in the text, not in a footnote.
Independence
No company sees an article before publication. Product mentions are chosen by the editor. Affiliate relationships are disclosed on the About page, and any page with sponsored content carries a label above the headline.
Products and prices
We name specific products with an approximate US price so the reader can act, and where possible we include a cheaper alternative. Prices are checked at publication and may change.
Corrections
Factual errors are corrected in the article with a dated note at the bottom. Send corrections through the contact page.
What we don't do
We do not diagnose, do not recommend stopping or starting prescription medication, and do not publish before-and-after claims we cannot verify.
AI and tools
We use software for research, transcription and image production. Every article is written and checked by a named editor who is responsible for its content.
